Program Description
Our view of healthcare has been changing. We’re shifting from a more siloed perspective to seeing our health as holistic, and holistic health demands holistic medical care. Massage therapy has been rapidly rising in popularity as more and more people recognize the benefits it provides and its potential for safely and naturally treating pain. This exploding demand gives way to rapid employment growth, with the Bureau of Labor Statistics project a 15% increase in massage therapy jobs through 2034.
The Massage Therapy program at Delta College is ready to help you meet the moment by offering effective training for a career as a massage therapists. We combine hands-on training in state-of-the-art facilities with expert instructions and a strong foundation in physiology and anatomy. Graduates of our program are prepared to sit for the national certification exam MBLEX, after which they can apply for a license to practice massage therapy with the state of Louisiana.
