Nail Technician

Program Description

We all liked to feel spoiled every now and then, and many more women and men are discovering that a low-cost luxury like manicures and pedicures can be a fantastic way to pamper yourself. Paired with the fact that a number of current nail technicians are retiring, there is a strong need for trained beauty professionals who can take on these roles. Employment of nail techs is projected to grow 7% through 2034 and result in around 24,800 job openings each year.

At Delta College in Lake Charles, we offer a 600-hour Nail Technician program that prepares you to enter the job market of the spa and beauty industry with experienced instructors, modern facilities and hands-on experience. Our graduates are eligible to sit for an approved written national certification exam and the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology practical exam in order to work as a licensed nail technician.
